Urban. Organic. Love.
Star Farm Chicago is a non-profit urban farm and landscaping service established in 2016 in the Back of the Yards neighborhood.
We work to increase access of local organic produce through farmers markets, pop-ups, delivery, and our local foods co-op.

On the farm, we create an inclusive space by providing local jobs, vocational training and horticultural therapy to people with disabilities, employment barriers, and empowering women. Through our work, we hope to inspire the next generation of urban growers and food justice advocates while improving the long term health and mental health outcomes of the community.

“The Star Farm CSA has brought so much joy and abundance to our household each week—we are eating more fruits and vegetables, experimenting with new recipes, and knowing that we’re also supporting local farmers and supporting Star Farm’s mission just makes everything taste so much better! As a doctor, we’re always telling our patients to eat better, and with the CSA I’m finally taking my own advice!”

“We love it! Everyone should have a CSA! I bought one for my friend and she got hooked—you just don’t want to miss out on all the goodies, especially if you don’t have time to go to farmers markets. And they deliver! It just tastes so much better than the store.”

"Honestly the Star Farm CSA delivery is the biggest thing we look forward to each week. My wife and I race home from work to see what’s in the bag—I had never had the types of tomatoes and never enjoyed vegetables that much, but the CSA has turned me around. We started fermenting and pickling. It’s the best food because it’s so fresh, and ripe. Highly recommend!”
